This policy covers the Ascending Therapy website. It explains what the site collects, why, and what happens to it. It doesn't cover clinical records, which are protected separately under HIPAA and California law and are described in the paperwork you receive before your first session.
What this website collects
The site has no accounts and no client portal. The contact page has a short form asking for your name, email, an optional phone number, and a brief message. When you submit it, that information is emailed straight to Deborah through Lovable Cloud Emails, the delivery service built into the site's hosting platform. After that inquiry is sent, a brief acknowledgment email may be sent back to the address you entered; it confirms receipt and repeats the practice's phone number and email, and it does not include your message. When you call or email using the links instead, you're contacting Deborah directly.
So that no inquiry is missed, the site keeps a minimal record of each submission: your name, email address, optional phone number, the date and time you submitted, and whether the notification and acknowledgment emails were delivered and whether Deborah has followed up yet. The message you write is not stored — it is sent by email only and is never saved to the website's records. Please still keep the form free of clinical detail; email is not a secure channel and this website is not a HIPAA-compliant system.
To keep automated spam out, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a real person is submitting it. Cloudflare and the site's email delivery service receive the information needed to perform those functions and handle it under their own terms; the practice can't make guarantees on their behalf.
Please don't include detailed clinical or medical information in the form or in an email. Neither is a secure clinical channel. A short note about what you'd like help with is fine. Save the details for the phone consultation or your first session.
Analytics
This site does not run analytics, advertising pixels, or visitor tracking of any kind. Standard technical request logs kept by the web host are the only record of a visit.
Cookies
The site itself doesn't set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The only cookies you may encounter come from the embedded Google Map on the contact page.
How long information is kept
Emails and voicemails are kept only as long as needed to respond and to keep a basic record of the inquiry. If you'd like your message deleted, ask and it will be removed.
Your choices
You can ask what information about you exists, ask for a copy, or ask for it to be deleted. California residents have these rights under the CCPA. Email deborah@ascendingtherapy.com or call (408) 827-1006 and the request will be handled promptly.
Third parties
The site is hosted by a third-party web host and embeds a Google Map on the contact page. Each of those providers has its own privacy policy governing the technical data it receives.
Children
This website isn't directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect their information. Parents and guardians are the ones who make contact about adolescent therapy.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
